The University of Toronto Aeronautics Team (UTAT) is a student group at the University of Toronto composed of undergraduate engineering students with a passion for aeronautics. UTAT was founded in 2004 and we are the only aeronautic design team in University of Toronto. In previous years, we participated in different flight competitions and have made several achievements. We developed heavy-lift, radio-controlled planes given various restraints for the SAE International Aero Design Competition. We also built gliders scored on flight time and payload capacity for the Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute (CASI) Free Flight Competition. This year, we will competing in Advanced Class and Micro Class of SAE International Aero Design Competition, and the CASI Free Flight Competition. Members can choose to participate into one of the sub-teams. These three groups are responsible for the design, presentation and technical papers associated with their respective competitions.
